IPC KS

The IPC Karnataka ministry had a beginning when Pr. K. C. Cherian came to Mangalore on 7th Sept. 1933. During this time the work spread to places like Hubli & Udupi. Eminent Pentecostal personalities like Pr. K. E. Abraham, Pr. P. M. Philip, Pr. K. C. Oommen, Pr. P. T. Mathew (Podimala Mathaichan) & Pr. P. M. Samuel ministered from the Word during conventions in Karnataka.

Pr. Paul Varkey came from Kerala on 3rd April 1958 & started ministry in Tarikere & expanded the ministry to Bhadravati, NR Pura & surrounding areas. He had a special burden for the local Kannadiagas. In the year 1964 Pr. Oommen Abraham came to Bengaluru & established a ministry in Bengaluru. The first worship service was conducted on 5th April 1965. Pr. P. A. George took charge of the ministry in 1966 & by 1968 Pr. George Oommen continued with the ministry. Pr. K. K. Cherian ministered between 1970 to 1972. Pr. Jacob Thomas ministered during 1972 – 1974.

Pr. John Daniel came in the year 1975 & during his tenure the ministry flourished. In 1984 Pr. K. S. Joseph took the initiative to consolidate the ministry in Karnataka and formed IPC Karnataka Region in which Pr. T. T. Joseph took charge as the first President. He served as President for the last 22 years.

On 16th May 2009 IPC Karnataka State was formed & the general body elected Pr. Sam George as the President.
